Life Is Better With Laughter

Life’s a rollercoaster, full of twists, turns, and tumbles. But when you add laughter to the ride, it’s like finding a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. It’s like a magic trick that smooths out the bumps and makes moments sparkle.
Bill: I took this shot of these two “Running Buddies” at the finish line of the Peachtree Junior Road Race. The laughter and connection between these two young contestants were infectious, putting smiles on the faces of the spectators watching them race. Even though they were running competitively, they couldn’t contain themselves and were both laughing out loud as they sprinted by, urged on by the supportive cheering that filled the air. A life moment.
Sheri: Laughter can turn a stumble into a dance and a misstep into a memory. I remember returning home from a vacation, we were driving through a very rural area, hopefully headed for a highway in our near future. Our GPS was still having growing pains at the time (we called her Helga” – something about her automated voice). Helga erroneously directed us off the highway and onto a dirt lane, then through the woods, out the other side and eventually landed us smack dab in the center of a rural high school parking lot.
Using an "old-fashioned" atlas and a LOT of chuckles, we successfully maneuvered our way back to the highway and headed home. The laughing just made it all the more memorable for us.
In the hustle and bustle of daily life, laughter is the perfect pause, a chance to catch your breath and reconnect with joy. Whether you’re sprinting to a finish line, tackling life’s challenges, laughter makes the journey way more fun.
So, take a cue from these running buddies—run full speed toward joy, share a laugh with those around you, and don’t forget to enjoy the race! Life is better when you cross the finish line with a smile.
