Memories, Wrapped in Love…    

              

She placed her chair outside the door, to catch the fading light.

Felt the warmth around her from the August summer night.

Hours are passing quickly now, with speed she can’t deny,

Life is rich with memories of days and years gone by.

She squints her eyes to catch the thoughts streaming thru her head,

As if they were connected by just one single thread.

Searches through her memories from childhood unto wife,

Smiles to see the thread was love weaving through her life.

The Love she gave …The Love she found!

Love she shared with daughters, sons and those she gathered round.

From Childhood days to friends and lovers, mother and a wife,

Memories … wrapped in love … The Fabric Of Her Life. 

​

She pulls the thread to find the time when they first met,

That magic time where love had bloomed…she never would forget.

Held her close and pledged his love, she became his wife,

Ups and downs he helped her weave the fabric of her life.

Their early years were filled with work, watched their family grow. 

Love survived each twist and turn more than they would know.  

Children grew and grandkids came, then her husband gone,

Love they knew and shared each day continues on and on!
