Invest Wisely
One of the wisest investments can be found within a moment of laughter--its returns are generous and uplifting. Most of the time though, it’s shoulder to the ball, ear to the wheel, eye on the grindstone, and nose to the ground looking for ways to stretch our dollars.
Bill: A couple years back I took a $10 bill into the casino gift shop while Sheri headed for a favorite slot machine. I traded my $10 for a souvenir coffee mug which I still have and use today. I tell everyone, “I broke even at the casino, and the investment is still paying off today”.
Sheri: Never seems to be enough money no matter how we invest and there is always something enticing us to purchase ! Steve Martin is quoted as saying “I love money. I love everything about it. I bought some pretty good stuff. Got me a $300 pair of socks. Got a fur sink. An electric dog polisher. A gasoline powered turtleneck sweater. And, of course, I bought some dumb stuff too.”
Thanks to wise planning, we have enough money to last the rest of our lives—well, that is unless we buy something! All kidding aside, we have invested wisely--in each other, and that’s the best deal we have going. Priceless!
