Keep Going

We captured this image just after sunrise, as the path quietly led us through dunes and sea grass — a trail carved by the footsteps of those who had walked before, and others who wandered simply to see where it might lead.
It felt like an “in-between” place: where land meets sea, where morning meets memory, and just ahead, the known gives way to something new. We couldn’t see the water yet, but we knew the ocean was just a few steps away. We could hear it!
Sheri: It wasn’t hard to convince myself to follow that path. The morning light, the soft breeze, and the swaying sea grass were all the inspiration I needed
Bill: The only thing missing in this photo is the sound of flip-flops and the faint rattle of a beach chair. This kind of path is part therapy and part cardio. Uphill in the sand counts as cardio in my book.
Sheri: I was reminded that some of the best moments happen just by trusting the path in front of me even if I can’t see the finish line. Nature has a way of giving us an extra nudge to keep going.
Bill: I’ll admit it: I grumbled carrying gear and my beach chair up that sandy hill. Life is like that. Sometimes you discover the best view is just one stubborn step beyond where you wanted to stop.

Positive Reflections...
Sometimes the best direction comes from the quiet encouragement of nature, whispering, “Keep going. You’re almost there.”
“It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters, in the end.” — Ursula K. Le Guin
“Go as far as you can see; when you get there, you’ll be able to see further.” — Thomas Carlyle
Vision gives you the impulse to make the picture your own.” — Robert Collier

Music Corner…
Each of these songs below captures the spirit of perseverance, the quiet courage to keep moving, even when the way ahead isn’t crystal clear. Whether it’s a steady beat, a hopeful lyric, or a defiant chorus, they remind us that forward is still forward, and sometimes, a little rhythm is all you need to take the next step.
“Walking on Sunshine” – Katrina and the Waves (1985) An upbeat, can’t-help-but-smile track that captures the joy of moving toward something wonderful—perfect for a sunlit path through the dunes.
“Drive” – Incubus (2000) This song explores choosing your own path, even when fear tries to take the wheel.
“I’m Still Standing” – Elton John (1983) This song is a spirited reminder that resilience isn’t just survival — it’s thriving with style.
Positively speaking, Sheri & Bill
