Keep Your Eye On The Goal

It was a perfect day for shallow waves and sandy toes—the kind of day where the ocean breeze carries just the right mix of adventure and relaxation.
With our camera in hand, we weren’t just here for the sun and surf; we were on a mission. Nature’s food chain was on full display as local seagulls patrolled the shoreline, eyes locked on the prize. Each returning wave left behind tiny bubbles rising from the sand—like little beacons signaling the presence of fresh crabs below. The seagulls knew it, and so did we. Their goal? Dinner. Our goal? Capture the perfect beach shot.
Bill: I crouched, camera ready, waiting for just the right moment. Seagulls don’t waste time with fancy dining—they’re all about the quick flip and gulp. One second, the crab is there, and the next... well, it’s history. But this particular gull gave me a break. Standing proudly, trophy crab in beak, it seemed to pose just long enough for me to snap the perfect shot suitable for framing. A seagull’s victory became my victory—it was a win-win.
Sheri: And that’s the thing about goals, right? Whether you’re a seagull hunting crabs or a photographer hunting the perfect shot, success takes focus, patience, and maybe just a little bit of luck.
Whether you're chasing crabs or chasing dreams, the key is to stay focused, be patient, and seize the moment when it comes. After all, every goal—big or small—is just waiting for the right timing and a little determination to make it yours!
