Three Heads Better Than One
- Sheri and Bill Eppright

At first glance, it looks like a salad bar waiting to happen. Lettuce, cauliflower, and cabbage sitting side by side, each a solid “head” in its own right. Crisp.
Dependable. Perfectly fine on their own. But together? Suddenly there’s texture, contrast, and far more nourishment than anyone could deliver solo.
That’s the quiet wisdom tucked between the leaves: two or three heads can be better than one.
History seems to agree. Lennon had McCartney. Ideas turned into anthems because one melody met another mind. Laurel had Hardy - proof that timing, trust, and a little imbalance can still make magic. Even Batman knew he was better with Robin, because saving the world occasionally requires backup and someone to hold the rope.
Partnership doesn’t mean identical thinking. It means complementary thinking. Steve Jobs brought the vision, Steve Wozniak built the engine, and together they changed how we talk to our devices. Serena and Venus Williams pushed each other higher, stronger, and faster - not by competing against one another, but by believing in the shared win of excellence.
Sheri: Collaboration is creativity with better posture. Two people gliding together in perfect balance display a graceful dance of common goals.
Bill: Teamwork is synergy and humility with a sense of humor. When we let another head into the room, we don’t lose our voice, we gain harmony. Someone catches what we miss and occasionally reminds us to laugh when we’re taking ourselves just a little too seriously.
Even the Three Stooges knew something about this. One alone was amusing. Together? Unforgettable. Point is to make it better. Lettuce doesn’t try to be cauliflower, and cabbage isn’t offended by either. Each brings its own texture and taste to the table. A blend.
Whether it’s a friendship, a marriage, a business partnership, or a neighbor who listens well, shared thinking turns “good enough” into “better than expected.” So, the next time you’re facing a decision, a dream, or a challenge, remember the produce aisle - and then some partnerships that changed the world’s menu.
Invite another head into the mix. Results may be a winning five-star salad!

Positive Reflections...
“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” — Helen Keller
“None of us is as smart as all of us.” — Proverb
“In union there is strength.” — Aesop

Music Corner....
Every era seems to understand this truth instinctively. You can hear it in harmonies that linger longer than any solo ever could.
Music has always known what lettuce, cabbage, and cauliflower quietly demonstrate: when distinct voices blend, something fuller emerges. The melody deepens. The rhythm steadies. The message travels farther. From folk trios to modern collaborations, the best songs aren’t just performed, they are shared.
“The Weight” – The Band (1968)…A masterclass in shared storytelling, where multiple voices carry the load together, literally and figuratively.
“Shallow” – Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper (2018)...A modern duet where contrast is the power, with two distinct voices meeting in the middle and becoming something larger. Great song!
