Dedicated to everyone who has ever loved a child, "If Stars Were Notes (Micah's Song) was originally released as a single in May 2022 , and then included on our “Moments” album released later that year, Sept 2022.
Aligning with Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, "If Stars Were Notes (Micah's Song)" expresses the pride, hope and poignant love a Mom and Dad feels toward their child. In an instant, the entrance of a tiny child into the world changes everything.
Song Inspiration:
Sheri: Inspiration for this song came from seeing our grandson, Michael, all grown up, married, and preparing for the birth of his firstborn child, Micah. I wrote the song and lyrics, anticipating all the milestones ahead of him, as he began the challenging, emotional and inspirational journey in life we call parenthood. This month, Micah reaches his 4th birthday, and his little brother Mateo will be celebrating his 1st birthday. So many parenting adventures ahead!
Recording Team:
We recorded this song with Rob Kuhlman at Root Cellar Music Studio. Our creative team included Sheri on vocals and keys, Bill on backup vocals and acoustic guitar, Rob on bass and electric guitar, Laura (Rob’s talented wife) on midi, and Jerry Fields on drums and percussion.
