Fill in the Blanks

Do you know what you’re worth? What would you pay for your talents and services? Ideally, your mate has your value figured out. When you ask them, the correct answer is, of course, “Priceless.” Love may be blind, but it’s refreshingly confident. Still, romance aside, there’s that small blank on the check that wants an actual number.
There are a few opinions floating around about your worth. There’s your self-worth, which tends to fluctuate with sleep, coffee, and your mantra of the month. There are family and friends, who always think you’re amazing (right?) And then there’s the job market, which rises and falls with the price of eggs, gasoline, and soup of the day. Some days all three agree. Many days, not so much.
But here’s the thing: the check is blank for a reason. You’re both the payer and the payee. The investor and the investment. So instead of obsessing over the number, try asking yourself: Are things better because of you?
Are you a good investment? Do you show up reasonably on time, try your best most days, and learn as you go? Do you recharge when needed? Do you say good things about those around you?
Sheri: Worth isn’t just about dollars. If you’ve ever helped someone smile, solve a problem, or feel less alone - congratulations, you’re already paid in full.
Bill: Some days the return is impressive. Other days you find it’s more “learning opportunity” than profit. Still counts. Long-term investments always do.
Worth flexes with experience, kindness, effort, and the occasional well-earned day off. You may not be priceless on paper, but you’re making better decisions than you think. And that’s a solid return going forward.
So, go ahead and fill in the blanks. Make it out to yourself and endorse it. Then live in a way that honors it.

From timeless classics to modern anthems, these tracks remind us to recognize our value, show up for ourselves, and celebrate the small wins along the way
