Got A Lightbulb Moment?

Had any lightbulb moments recently? You know, a moment of sudden inspiration, revelation or recognition – sort of an “aha” moment. We believe that when you plant an important thought or question in your mind, your mind works on it in the background, and before you know it, "whammo"! 

(Bill: That’s when you publicly jump up and shout eureka three times—well at least I do.)

Of course we must recognize Thomas Edison, the man given credit for all this illumination. One night, Tom, while lying in bed, had a sudden flash of inspiration – a lightbulb moment that led to the creation of the first practical lightbulb, changing the way we live forever.

Bill: Our friend Tom probably used a candle to write down his lightbulb inspiration before he forgot the details…same as me: I try to write down my lightbulb moments as they sneak up. Inspirations can launch an attack at any moment, so be prepared. I remember early one morning in my pajamas, I asked Alexa to take a note – but not really sure how Alexa got in my pajamas…

Sheri:  I know when I am in songwriting mode, lyrics often come to me when I am sleeping. So, I keep my phone notepad on my nightstand to capture the words just as I wake up before the words flit away.

So how about it? This week plant a question, keep your mind open, be attentive to the world around you. Then be ready for when inspiration strikes. Who knows? Your lightbulb moment might change the world!
