Let your voice be heard...
Some days, life calls for a quiet whisper. Others, it begs for a bold, beautiful ribbit.
Look at this frog—unapologetically puffed up, singing its truth into the night. It doesn’t wonder if its song is good enough. It doesn’t compare its croak to the others. It simply lets it out.
We all have a voice like that—something inside us that wants to speak, to express, to connect. But too often, fear or doubt muffles it. We worry we’ll sound silly. We hesitate. We shrink.
But what if we didn’t? What if today, we let our voice swell like that brave little frog? Loud, clear, and unmistakably ours.
Sheri: We all have those moments when we feel overlooked, unheard, or just plain exhausted from croaking into the void. Watching this frog, I’m reminded that speaking up doesn’t make us difficult. It makes us visible. It says, “I’m here, I matter, and I’ve got something to say.”
Bill: This guy is clearly not afraid of vocal effort. Sometimes the way to get a point across is to inflate your argument (or your vocal sac) and let the world know you’re done sitting in the mud.
Sing your song. Share your truth. Even if your voice shakes, let it rise. Because somewhere, someone is listening—and your sound might just be the harmony they need.
So, the next time you feel your metaphorical vocal sac swelling with something that needs to be said, don’t hold back. You might be surprised who finally hears you.
“I am no bird; and no net ensnares me: I am a free human being with an independent will.” — Charlotte Brontë
“Say what you will, it is better to be left than never to have been loved.”— William Congreve

Positive Reflections...
Sheri: Speaking of getting heard, this week, I managed to catch myself as I was getting ready to say something I might regret. I paused a minute, took a couple of breaths, and then realized I might have “read the room wrong.” I took time to refocus and then still said what I wanted to say but in a good way.
Bill: I had one of those “should I say something or just nod” moments this week. I was mid-nod when I suddenly thought of our frog, all puffed up and unapologetic. So, I spoke up - not in a rant, bullfrog kind of way, but with just enough “ribbit” to be heard. Turns out, my little croak sparked a good conversation. Moral of the story? Sometimes it’s okay to puff up when in the right pond.

Music Corner…
The songs we selected for this week fit the spirit of speaking up, standing out, or being unapologetically yourself.
"Respect” – Aretha Franklin … Because sometimes you’ve got to spell it out loud and clearly, even if you’re a frog on a log.
“I Am Woman” – Helen Reddy … An anthem of empowerment and speaking your truth, no matter who tries to talk over you.
“Don’t Stop Me Now” – Queen (1978)A pure burst of confidence and joy, this track captures the unstoppable energy of someone living fully, loudly, and on their own terms—perfect for our fearless frog moment.
