“We don’t stop playing because we get old; we get old because we stop playing” – George Bernard Shaw

Folks, we’re not talking about age, but attitude!  Play keeps us curious, engaged, and lighthearted. Whether it’s kicking a ball, laughing at a silly joke, or trying something new just for fun, play injects joy into our lives. Play is not just for kids; it’s a way of staying connected to the vibrant, adventurous spirit within us all.

From games to hobbies to fun outings, playing keeps us energized and creative. It’s hard to feel “old” when you’re dancing in the living room, building sandcastles at the beach, or laughing with friends until your sides hurt.

Sheri: Play doesn’t care about gray hair or creaky knees—just join in and enjoy!

Bill: Change the word “exercise” to the word “play” and play your butt off. Find a friend or other crazies to join you, encourage one another, and laugh a lot.

Life’s responsibilities can feel heavy at times but play reminds us there is always room to lighten the load. It’s not about escaping reality but embracing the simple, playful moments that make life worth living. So, grab a board game, crack a joke, or try something seriously ridiculous, it’s a fun way to stay young forever.

Positively speaking, Sheri & Bill
